2017 is off to a great start for me. Seriously, really great. Sure, over at The Crystal Press we have had our share of bumps in the road already with wedding planning, house maintenance, etc etc – but even these things have made us more resilient. It is of the utmost importance for us to remain in a comfortable mindset as our calendar is already filling up with events, trips and more. One way that we are able to do that is to make sure that we always carve out time for ourselves. Whether its meditating, writing in a journal or taking a relaxing detox bath, we must make that a priority. For my birthday a few weeks ago, Cath gave me a “Start 2017 off on the right foot” care package of sorts and it has the PERFECT set of products to do just that.
Do yourself a favor and make YOU a priority this year. Here are a few things to help you do just that!
If you’ve been following along with us for a while, you know that The Homestead is my most favorite place. (If you are a new TCP follower, I got married there a year and a half ago and have been vacationing there for most of my life). Last year when John and I went in December we recognized how absolutely magical it can be at Christmastime and lucky for us we were able to convince my parents to spend the holiday itself there this year.
Confession: I am lazy. Well, I wouldn’t say lazy. Rather, I would say that I despise working out. Despise. However, I like all of the things that are involved in working out – specifically the clothes. So I do what any other fashion girl who loves workout clothes would do – seamlessly work them into my every day wardrobe. These Fabletics leggings are my most recent favorite fake work out gear and I cannot get enough of them. Do yourself a favor and check out all of the amazing patterns that they come in. You’ll need more than one pair so check out all that Fabletics has to offer & get $10 off with THIS LINK.Continue reading “My Amazfit”→
There are TWO great Friends & Family Sales going on right now and we have to admit, they are just in time for us to make a few more Spring purchases. With weddings, festivals and events here in #RVA just around the corner, we have our eye on a few fabulous pieces – and most of them won’t break the bank!
Bloomingdale’s 25% off with code FRIENDS is going on through Sunday! AND FREE SHIPPING! Shopbop’s 25% off with code INTHEFAM only until tomorrow at midnight – so you better act fast!
If you’ve been following along with me for the past few months it comes as no surprise to you that I got married in July. We have finally received the most gorgeous photos fromJ&D Photography and wanted to share some of them with you! It was so must fun having Cath along for the ride with me from the beginning. She helped me articulate my vision for the perfect day and helped to make that vision a reality.
I wore the dress that my mother and grandmother both wore and had it restored by our family friend, Jahee Kwon. She did the most fantastic job. I could go on and on about all of the details but I will let the photos speak for themselves and share some tidbits when I think necessary 🙂 The bridesmaids got ready in a little Ralph Lauren Number, I wore the Wildfox Couture Bride Robe (which I still wear on the reg) and of course we drank Veuve Clicquot.
My bridesmaids all wore different gowns in the ivory / champagne tone, as you can see, and when they all put them on on wedding day, it was exactly as I had envisioned it! Catherine wore the Reformation Isabel dress and looked stunning.
Our friend James Wilson of Sons of Bill officiated the ceremony and did the most amazing job. His homily was the most poignant, perfect message for our day.
I changed into asilk camisole & the most wonderful tulle skirt from BHDLN and stepped out of my Manolos and into some silver Miu Miu slides for easy dancin’!! I know everyone says their wedding day was the best day of their lives but it is just SO true. Shout out to all our friends for the best party I’ve ever been to. Head over to J&D Photo for more fun pix if this wasn’t already enough.
Unless this is the first post on The Crystal Press that you have seen, you know that we LOVE Free People. On any given outfit post you are guaranteed to find any range of accessories, intimates and clothes from our favorite boho-boutique. When the Richmond store approached us to be a part of this #FPSummerDays anniversary event, saying that we were excited is an understatement. We had such fun trying out different outfits and most importantly getting our hair done by the lovely stylists from 1213 Hair Studio.
Oh and how could we forget: champagne & cupcakes. It was basically our dream event and these photographs definitely show us in our element – laughing, drinking and showing off some sweet threads. Thanks to all of the free people stylists and especially the store manager, Jamie, for putting together such a fabulous event!
